Age Requirement
You have to be at least 21 years old to be applying for the truck driving opportunity. As the job requires a responsible person because so many lives depend upon the driver of a truck, you can not apply if you are below 21.
Valid Driver’s License
You should have a valid driver’s license to apply to any school for your CDL certification. Without a valid driver’s license, you won’t be able to secure a position in schools for CDL license.
CDL License
The first step in the actual process is getting your CDL license from the DMV. This will require passing a written exam and a road test as well as completing an application with the DMV.
Proof of Citizenship
You have to give proof of citizenship in America to apply for a career in trucking. To be a driver in America, you should be American. The procedure for non American drivers are different than American citizens
Truck Driving School

High School Diploma
